I have been debating the idea of spending money on talking to matches on online dating sites. I figure it might be better than going out to bars and spending money there. You also do not meet the best kind of people at bars either. I do like the way online dating is set up because you know a little about the person before you talk. But to some not knowing is all the fun. But I'd like to hear what you think. Because I value the opinion of complete strangers greatly

No its a TOTAL rip off. Most of them. They tease you and censor the internal E - mails so you can't actually get contact information to the other person. They are scams big time. Think about it. The internet is a great way to meet people and if we all hooked up there would be no more money being paid to the sights. One huge problem is women think since its easy to check guys out they have a great chance of hooking a rich successful guy and all women want that perfect guy. I would not pay money for somthing like that. I would join the ones that offer free months or whatever. Better yet, why do not you go to a community activity or something and meet someone that way. if you insist on online dating, just do online chatting rooms or myspace, face book or something like that, where its free. I tried match.com because I have a busy work schedule. I met a guy and it did not work out. It was fun at first, but be careful because a lot of men are married or lying about themselves
OMG, I?m still laughing at what X said. LOL That?s what I always think of when those match.com commercials come on. My luck I would get the one freak that drinks milk through his nose and keeps women in a cellar and tells them to rub lotion on themselves. But I have heard a lot of really great things to. It?s not like you put down every detail of your life, just some major hints. Like I don?t like nas car racing so I would put that down as a least like or something so I don?t have to weed out the car guys. Do it on the right place. Do not pay at any dating site. You can try them at first and pay for them when you do believe you need to become a full member. I tried a dating site called millionairecupid.com for about 4 months for free. Then I found I will get something there if I become a full member. So I upgraded. This website did not let me down. I think that it depends on what type of city or town you live in and how your social life is. Are you a shy person that needs help to get to know someone or are you a pretty self confident guy? Do you live in a place that has a lot of social activities where you can go and meet people? If your answer is no, then the online dating might be worth at least a try. You will never know unless you check it out. Just like asking a girl out, you will never know unless you talk to her and ask. Have an idea of what kind of person you really want to meet. Hey man. I never liked the idea of spending money on these dating sites. I guess mainly because there so many other websites nowadays that have great people on them such as facebook, myspace, twitter ETC. The list goes on and on. Paying monthly fees doesn't make sense when you can do it for free. I think the problem is most people I did also may say the wrong things to the wrong people or not know how to really attract a women. If you can not attract someone on a social network, what makes it different on a payment dating site? It all comes from your head I am sure. You should stay on some free sites and redefine your skills a bit. I am sure you will find who your looking for

Go for it. What's the worst that can happen except lose 30 - 50 bucks? I say this is worth a shot at love. isn't it? Just be sure to not mention any personal info like where you live. etc. and BE HONEST about the little things like age, things you like, if you have kids. etc. The worst way to start off a first date is by saying 'by the way, I actually have 2 kids. or I am actually 5 years older. ya get me? Also use a photo that's current to the way you look now. If you used to have short brown hair, and now you dediced to try out long dreadlocks, do not use a pic where you're sporting short brown hair. got it? Oh and. you will not meet anyone by simply 'walking outside' and you're right. meeting people at bars is not so hot. especially if you're a home body. A good friend of mine met her boyfriend on a dating site and they have been together for a year and a half now and they love eachother. My advice. when you do meet someone and things are starting off really well after the first few dates, sign out of the dating site to give things a real shot
