Do you think its worth paying money for online dating?
- Maybe paying for it once or twice, but if you haven't had any success by then do not spend anything more. There's a couple good free sites out there, okcupid and plentyoffish
- No its a TOTAL rip off. Most of them. They tease you and censor the internal E - mails so you can't actually get contact information to the other person. They are scams big time. Think about it. The internet is a great way to meet people and if we all hooked up there would be no more money being paid to the sights. One huge problem is women think since its easy to check guys out they have a great chance of hooking a rich successful guy and all women want that perfect guy. Fact is they don't exist we all have faults
- Here is an article I wrote a few days ago about Online Dating Pros vs. Online Dating Cons. Check it out, it may answer some of your questions. You can also check out my blog by c the "source" down below my name and answer. I've got some good information about online dating posted. Here's the article: Online dating is more than just a craze, it's a veracity. Online dating has quickly changed into a well - accepted channel wherein individuals can get together to discover loving probabilities with each other. These are the positive and negative effects of internet dating: PROS: 1. It's convenient. You don't have to dress to the nines to enjoy somebody's companionship. You can just log in and trade texts in real time. 2. It's not an obligation. Just because you hook up with somebody in an internet dating site doesn't mean you're committed to him or her already. Online dating is a trial - and - error means of choosing the appropriate person you can share your life with. 3. You can pick the best among the others. Unlike dating in real life where the person you're dating would most likely to anticipate inimitability, internet dating calls for no such thing. You can converse with as many individuals as you wish until you find Mr. or Ms. Right. 4. Individuals can articulate themselves better, in any case initially, because of the mystery offered by theinternet. 5. Individuals do get true love through internet dating. CONS: 1. Most of internet dating websites ask for membership fees. There are free internet dating services, certainly, but they are troubled with more hazards than their paid rivals. 2. There is no ensured defense against har ment and deceit, the occurrence of which is made stonger given the veil of mystery prevalent on the net. 3. You will be limited to a person's written languages in determining his or her characteristic. You won't be able to take a glimpse at the person, at least, not at once. You won't be able to examine his facial expression, his body language, and his ticks. 4. You can never be certain about the physical traits of the person. Let's admit it, a lot of people still put a weight on physical looks. How can we be sure that the person at the other end of the internet cable is appealing enough for us? Photos? Photos can lie in this present day of lighting, angles, and Adobe Photoshop. We can never be sure unless we see them in person
- I think it is worth your time and money to investigate. Try it out, and if it doesn't work for you, FINE! do not do it any more. Make sure whomever you drop the money on is reputable. There are a lot of fly by nights out there in the dating world. who takes U money and gives U nothin'. Try Eharmoney or one of the other major outfits. Stay away from the little ones or you will probably get burned or maybe it will turn out to be a hooker service
- I would not pay money for somthing like that. I would join the ones that offer free months or whatever. Better yet, why do not you go to a community activity or something and meet someone that way. if you insist on online dating, just do online chatting rooms or myspace, face book or something like that, where its free. I know yahoo has yahoo personals, might try that? I know my bf's dad uses that and other stuff. I met my bf sorta through online dating lol, not me / him though, it was his dad and my aunt that met on some dating site and they got to talking and bragging bout their kids / family and they gave each other our emails and thats how i began talking to my bf. Try yahoo or google and just search like " free online dating services" or plentyofish.com is one i think my aunt used. she used alot lmao. just google them though good luck not all online guys are bad some are good
- I tried match.com because I have a busy work schedule. I met a guy and it did not work out. It was fun at first, but be careful because a lot of men are married or lying about themselves
- OMG, I?m still laughing at what X said. LOL That?s what I always think of when those match.com commercials come on. My luck I would get the one freak that drinks milk through his nose and keeps women in a cellar and tells them to rub lotion on themselves. But I have heard a lot of really great things to. It?s not like you put down every detail of your life, just some major hints. Like I don?t like nas car racing so I would put that down as a least like or something so I don?t have to weed out the car guys. Seems totally cool, but buy some pepper spray, and he asks you anything crazy its always better to spray now and apologize later than some crazy weave your hair in to a shirt and rub himself
- you are going to end up with some old guy wearing a bra tucking himself dancing to do you think im sexy
- Do it on the right place. Do not pay at any dating site. You can try them at first and pay for them when you do believe you need to become a full member. I tried a dating site called millionairecupid.com for about 4 months for free. Then I found I will get something there if I become a full member. So I upgraded. This website did not let me down. It helped me find me perfect lover. Now we are happily married. SO I just want to say, do it on the right place. If you are not sure, you can also try the dating site where I got my love. It's really nice
- I think that it depends on what type of city or town you live in and how your social life is. Are you a shy person that needs help to get to know someone or are you a pretty self confident guy? Do you live in a place that has a lot of social activities where you can go and meet people? If your answer is no, then the online dating might be worth at least a try. You will never know unless you check it out. Just like asking a girl out, you will never know unless you talk to her and ask. Have an idea of what kind of person you really want to meet. Things you look for in a girl / woman. What personality traits or characteristics you admire in a person. Good Luck. HH
- heck no! go clubbing or to any public place. perfect way to meet that special someone!
- noobasaur, I have had good success with online dating. Most are free to join and it's a fun way to flirt online. cutelocal.com It's exciting to see what other people post in thier profiles and allows me a change to check out the compe ion in my area
- no, just walking outside is cheaper
- no just go out and meet girls lol
- Hey man. I never liked the idea of spending money on these dating sites. I guess mainly because there so many other websites nowadays that have great people on them such as facebook, myspace, twitter ETC. The list goes on and on. Paying monthly fees doesn't make sense when you can do it for free. I think the problem is most people I did also may say the wrong things to the wrong people or not know how to really attract a women. If you can not attract someone on a social network, what makes it different on a payment dating site? It all comes from your head I am sure. You should stay on some free sites and redefine your skills a bit. I am sure you will find who your looking for
- Have you tried the free sites yet? I think either one would be worth a try, but before you do, go to OnlineDatingCrashCourse.com They can tell you everything you ever wanted to know about online dating with some real expert advice on what sites to try. Good luck!
- Go for it. What's the worst that can happen except lose 30 - 50 bucks? I say this is worth a shot at love. isn't it? Just be sure to not mention any personal info like where you live. etc. and BE HONEST about the little things like age, things you like, if you have kids. etc. The worst way to start off a first date is by saying 'by the way, I actually have 2 kids. or I am actually 5 years older. ya get me? Also use a photo that's current to the way you look now. If you used to have short brown hair, and now you dediced to try out long dreadlocks, do not use a pic where you're sporting short brown hair. got it? Oh and. you will not meet anyone by simply 'walking outside' and you're right. meeting people at bars is not so hot. especially if you're a home body. A good friend of mine met her boyfriend on a dating site and they have been together for a year and a half now and they love eachother. My advice. when you do meet someone and things are starting off really well after the first few dates, sign out of the dating site to give things a real shot
